If You Are In Sales, You Can Sell Online

Millions of people dream of having their own business, but very few actually follow up on that dream. Are you one of them? Do you tell yourself you need big money or a access to credit before you can start? Do you hate your current job? Take the first step towards business freedom with your own business website!

It is NOT money that is holding you back. What’s holding you back is motivation and belief in yourself. You need to take action before you can get anywhere. You can start slowly, but by all means, start! That first step is often the hardest one.

What are you already good at? What are you currently good enough at that someone is willing to pay you for doing? For example, do you go to work every day and sell cosmetics in a boutique or department store? In that case, you obviously know a lot about cosmetics. You know which brand sells the best eye cream, so why not sell facial products on your own website?

Another example might be home appliances. You have your sales spiels down cold and when somebody comes in looking for space heaters, you direct them to the Delonghi space heater and tell them why it is so much better than others. Jot down your sales pitch on paper, then use it on your own home appliance website.

It doesn’t matter what you sell, it can be sold online. The only thing that’s stopping you is yourself and thinking, ‘I can’t’ instead of ‘I can.’ You may be telling yourself that home office storage systems and office furniture are too big and that shipping costs would make selling them online too expensive. If you’re selling online, your overheads are actually so low that you can sell and deliver even bulky items at competitive prices! Don’t let your negative beliefs keep you from following your dream!

You will have to work at it, but you can start small and learn how to run an online business slowly. All you need to begin is a website and some products to sell. Teach yourself how to do search engine optimization and other online promotional jobs. Write your sales pitches out and use them on a blog and on your product description pages.

If you spend your time daydreaming about having your own business, why not turn off the TV and get to work? Every minute you spend learning how to make an online business and putting that learning to work is another minute well spent. Don’t let the mistakes you make along the way get you down. They’re all part of getting to your goal of self-employment.
